It is in fact one year ago today that his site officially launched on the tipstrr platform. A consistent performer across a multitude of sports, Miguel da Silva has made himself, and his ever-growing client base more than $20k from his average stake of around $400. Tipstrr of the Month - March 2015

Welcome to our 'Tipstrr of the Month' awards for March 2015, where we analyse the tips and picks processed via our system to see who takes the trophy for best tipster or best handicapper on our automated and verified platform. Over the last month, we've seen an increase in the number of tipsters, and an increase in the number of tips being processed - along with the most important bit - more winning picks!

Overview

The Tipstrr of the Month this month goes to AdHock Picks. Placing 57 picks he returned 15.94 units of profit, a Return on Investment of 27.96%. He is an expert in NHL handicapping, and his impressive results since joining the Tipstrr platform certainly agree. With average odds of 1.98, he focusses solely on the 'Money Line' market, sometimes backing the favourite, and other times backing the 'dog'. 

He has been using the Tipstrr platform to prove his profitability and has had a break the last couple of weeks - but his incredible results still got him Tipstrr of the Month, despite only placing picks for the first half of the month. He will be back again in April providing regular picks, so be sure to check him out - his verified results can be found here

March was a good month on the Tipstrr platform, with a good number of free and premium tipsters returning solid profits. TerryTipster did well from his 87 picks, generating a yield of 8.80%, whilst RRking08 managed a very strong 15.2% ROI from his 59 picks in March. Other notable performances included LineMoving (22% from 19 picks), IndySportsPicks almost reached 200 picks and provided a 5.1% Return on Investment.

This month has seen plenty of people providing impressive win rates, but the overall winner goes to RRking08 with a 63.2% win rate from his 59 picks in March! Of course, a win percentage doesn't tell the whole story, as you could easily have an 80% win rate and make a loss (by picking very short prices), so it's good to also mention that RRking has average odds of 1.81 and a Return on Investment of more than 15%.

Overall Tipstrr of the Month AdHock Picks was over 60% too, as was IndySportsPicks (61.4%) and LineMoving (61.1%).

Many of the above guys were unfortunate not to win this award, but as anyone in the industry will know, a 63.2% win rate is impressive, and tough to beat. We are sure that these guys will strive to improve their win percentages and profitability in April, so be sure to check them all out.

BetMD Sports has been the most active tipster on the site this month, providing his clients with more than 400 picks. His broad knowledge of US sports, Tennis and Soccer means it's not overly surprising that he is active at this time of year, with NCAAB, NBA, NHL and all other leagues across the sports he covers being very busy.

There were plenty of other active tipsters, with Kiitos, Crypto, Indy, MajorK posting high volume tips. American sports are truly at their peak at the minute, with College Basketball, NBA, NFL (and Baseball to come!), along with a busy soccer schedule in Europe. 

Finally, we have the "Longshot Award". This is awarded to the biggest winning bet of the month. This month, the accolade goes to MajorK Sports who recorded a tasty 5-fold accumulator winner priced at 10.41. We had several other big winners, but nothing topped these odds!

Tipstrr of the Month - February 2015

Welcome to our fifth 'Tipstrr of the Month' awards for February 2015, where we analyse the tips and picks processed via our system to see who takes the trophy for best tipster or best handicapper on our automated and verified platform..

Overview

The overall Tipstrr of the Month award goes to New-View Betting!! He placed 58 tips during the month of February, providing 33 winners in the process, with average odds comfortably above evens (2.11). Thos following his bets for February saw him provide a Return on Investment of more than 20% (20.69%). With a win rate of 56.9%, New-View were close to receiving the Best Win Percentage award too! We aren't surprised to see his client base grow and grow throughout February, and with records like this, we don't expect it to change! He is one of our many FREE Tipstrrs too, so why not sign up to his site and start receiving his plays!

February saw a lot of good performers on the Tipstrr platform, with some great returns. Brazilian Football Tips won 18 and pushed 1 of his 31 bets this month, providing a Return on Investment of 19.74% - CHECK HIS VERIFIED RESULTS. Other notable mentions should go to newbie Shark Insider and the experienced BetMDsports who recorded return on investments of 14.7% and 11.2% respectively.

In fact, BetMDsports provided the most profit over the course of the month (check his awesome NCAAB results here), but with a larger quantity of tips, New-View Betting scooped this month's award.

The Best Win Percentage award this month goes to Shark Insider! After placing 90 tips throughout January, the Shark Insider won exactly 60% (54). What makes this even more impressive, is the fact that his average odds were around 2.25! A sixty percent win rate is tough to achieve at the regular 1.91 line, so to have that sort of success at these odds shows he has great potential. Syndic8 was unbelievably close to getting this award, but with 55.66% win rate, he was just pipped to the post. Others that did well in this category were JSBA Hatter, Gibol Tips and Italian Football Tips.

Kiitos won this award last month, and they take the crown of "Most Active Tipstrr" for February too. There are a couple of tipsters, James and JP, and between them they amassed almost 350 tips in total across an array of football leagues.

There were plenty of other active tipsters, with BetMD, Gibol, Indy, MajorK posting high volume tips. American sports are truly at their peak at the minute, with College Basketball, NBA, NFL (and Baseball to come!), along with a busy soccer schedule in Europe. 

Finally, we have the "Longshot Award". This is awarded to the biggest winning bet of the month. This month, the accolade goes to The Racing Tipster who recorded a winning accumulator at odds of 9.69. We had several other big winners, but nothing could top these odds!

The importance of using truly verified sports handicappers

OK, so maybe we go on about being 'verified' a lot, but that's only because we understand just how important it is. If you're serious about building a decent betting portfolio and looking to make money from sports betting, you need to be able to trust the source of your plays. 

It all starts with the adage "if it sounds too good to be true...". If a sports handicapper professes to be the best in the world, you need to ask yourself a few questions:

1. What is that claim based upon? Have they received an award saying as such?
2. Do they have genuine results that are documented by third parties?
3. Are any documented results hidden from the public? (hint: they shouldn't be)

Examples of (potentially*) rogue sites:

Bob Akmen Sports - official owner of the world's longest homepage and the most brutal use of comic sans you'll have ever seen. They offer an annual package for just $4,995 (saving more than $11,000 from the regular price). All of this with no actual evidence of the service being profitable, other than an annoying pop-up video and claims that a (paid for) article says that they are awesome.

All Star Sports Picks - Most outrageous 'staking plan' you are ever likely to see. A rather good day on 5th April 2014 saw him win 4 horse racing tips in succession for a combined profit of $44,115,021 (stakes ranging from , yet 2 days earlier he advised stakes of $1,000 on an NHL pick at odds of 1.91 (-110) to win around $900. Lets put this in to perspective for a second... If you have a $10,000 betting bank, and bet 2% ($200) on each horse racing bet, your stake for the NHL bet would've been 0.003% - $0.30! Not to mention the fact that the results appear to be entirely fabricated. Put frankly, this type of site is what is wrong with the sports handicapping industry.

The aim of what we offer is simple, to give people considering subscribing to sports tipsters and handicapper the chance to vet them before they commit to memberships. We know that finding a genuinely worthwhile sports handicapper is difficult, especially when the internet is so full of people looking to get you to part with your money by promising you the world.

Welcome to our fourth 'Tipstrr of the Month' awards for January 2015, where we analyse the tips and picks processed via our system to see who takes the trophy for best tipster or best handicapper on our automated and verified platform..

Overview

This was a very busy start to 2015 on the Tipstrr platform which saw thousands of tips placed across dozens of sites. Hard work from dozens of tipsters has seen the win rate improve across the board, something we're very happy with here at Tipstrr HQ. As we mentioned last month, the 4 awards are open to all tipsters and handicappers that use our platform, all you need to do to qualify is place 20 or more picks in a calendar month. If you can think of any other awards that could be good to give out, let us know, we'd love to hear your suggestions.

The first Tipster of the Month for 2015 award goes to JSBA Hatter!! With more than 50 tips placed throughout the course of January, Hatter recorded a very good yield of 19.5%. Winning 29 bets along the way, he almost nabbed the next award too, but narrowly missed out. With average odds a fraction below evens (1.995), he has provided his users with profitable betting advice and a sensible and conservative staking plan that was easy to follow. No relying on huge "bankers" or "lumps", just good analysis and playing the odds. 

January was a good month overall for our Tipstrrs, with several providing impressive profits:
